On their mission to support these businesses in Thailand and beyond, they are now on the lookout for an exceptional (Senior) Business Development Manager to join their team in Bangkok, TH.
With your unwavering enthusiasm for sales and knowledge within logistics and freight forwarding you will play a pivotal role in driving sales excellence and contributing to the company´s continued success in Thailand and worldwide.
Responsibilities that define your journey:
- Drive sales growth for designated clients in the logistics industry, connecting Indonesia with global markets (scope defined during target setting).
- Collaborate, lead, and synchronize sales efforts with counterparts in Indonesia.
- Achieve specified Volume and Gross Profit targets (defined during target setting).
- Meet Sales Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) using the company’s CRM and related tools (targets defined during target setting).
- Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction for assigned accounts.
- Continuously identify potential customers, exchange sales leads, and share market insights within the company network.
- Develop a database of target customers and craft individual strategies for engagement.
- Promote the company brand in Indonesia while upholding company values (Integrity, Empowerment, Leadership, and Entrepreneurship).
- Represent the company at trade fairs, chambers of commerce, and public events.
- Undertake other tasks assigned by superiors related to KPIs.
- Propose innovative ideas to support the overall company development, with a focus on Indonesia and Product/Vertical development for Intra-Asia Trade Lanes.
- Provide support to the Sales team, ensuring that accounts not meeting BDM’s criteria are assigned with superior’s approval to appropriate account owners (Sales team or Inside Sales).
- Develop short-term and long-term sales plans and strategies to expand the business, representing Indonesia within the Intra Asia Business Development team or committee.
Requirements that define you:
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration/ Logistics or equivalent.
- A minimum of 5 years of logistics industry experience at middle management level.
- Proficiency in English and Bahasa for flawless communication, both written and oral.
- A solid background in the Freight Forwarding industry, your passport to success.
- Mastery over basic computer skills, including MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- A “can-do” mindset coupled with empathy and an unwaveringly positive attitude.
- Stellar written and oral communication skills, empowering you to persuade, influence, negotiate, and captivate audiences.
- Strong ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the business and with customers.
Additional Information:
- Reporting to: Country Sales Manager
- Possible starting/ onboarding date: ASAP
- Monthly salary: (depending on work experience)
- Work Location: Bangkok, TH
- Work model:
- Monday & Friday -> Office
- Tuesday/ Wednesday/ Thursday-> Home Office or at client site
- Preferred sales from logistics industry
